Scent Studies 101 (formerly Intro to Nosework)
3-Week Program | 50-Minute Classes 
Prerequisite: Life Skills I / Grade one
Eligible for: Puppy to Pro Wild Card  

Step into the captivating world of scent detection with Scent Studies, the ideal starting point for dogs and handlers new to the sport of Nosework. During class, teams learn to recognize and work with a target odor while building strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills. Dogs gain confidence learning to work independently and focus on scent, while handlers develop confidence guiding their team through each search. 

This course is suitable for dogs of all ages and experience levels and is especially rewarding for teams seeking a mentally stimulating, confidence-building activity.

Addendum:

Teams have the option to bring their own bowl and colander set dedicated solely to nosework training, or purchase one through CCC to take home and use for all future programs, ensuring every team has the tools needed to practice and succeed from the very first session.

Administrative & Attendance Policies:

• Dogs must be up to date with vaccinations, including the Bordetella vaccine.
• All cancellations and refunds are subject to a $35 administration fee.
• Cancellations made less than two weeks prior to the start date will not be refunded, so please plan carefully.
• As this is a specialized class, no make-up classes or Office Hour Sessions available.
