Grade Six
4-Week Program | 45-Minute Classes
Prerequisite: Passed Grade Five Exam
Grade Six brings together all the skills your dog has learned to create a confident, reliable, and adaptable companion in any environment. Your dog will work on calm greetings, dependable recall, focused attention, and cooperative handling under realistic distractions. Games and interactive exercises continue to challenge your dog mentally while reinforcing poise and self-regulation. By the end of this course, your dog will be a trustworthy, well-mannered companion, ready to navigate everyday life with confidence and joy.
Core Learning Outcomes:
By the end of Grade Six, your dog will be able to:
- Maintain calm, focus, and reliability in highly distracting environments.
- Respond consistently to cues for greetings, recall, and handling under real-world conditions.
- Demonstrate advanced self-control and decision-making in structured exercises and games.
- Apply learned skills across multiple settings, people, and challenges.
- Continue to reinforce independent calm and self-regulation through “place” exercises.
Exit Exam & Policies
At the conclusion of Grade Six, dogs participate in a culminating exit exam to earn the CCC Scholar designation. This assessment is designed to celebrate mastery and ensure your dog is confident and ready to apply their skills in real-world situations. It is not pass/fail; instead, it confirms readiness for advanced challenges and highlights your dog’s accomplishments. Repeating a grade is encouraged if additional practice will strengthen skills and confidence before achieving Scholar status.
Administrative & Attendance Policies:
- Dogs must be up to date with vaccinations, including the Bordetella vaccine.
- All cancellations and refunds are subject to a $35 administration fee.
- Cancellations made less than two weeks prior to the start date will not be refunded, so please plan carefully.
- If you miss a class, you will receive credit for a class review session during office hours.
- Class review sessions must be booked in advance and expire 4 months from the missed class.
