From Zero to Hero: Disc Dog Foundations.
9am - 12pm
Cost: $100 per working spot / $35 auditing
This workshop will cover all you need to know to get started in the sport of disc dog, from how to generate interest and build skills (for the dog) to throwing skills (for the human). Instruction will be split between time spent working on individual skills with working pairs to group work and discussion of the finer points of creating a disc dog team.

What's Updog? Growing your skills for Updog Games
1 - 4pm
Cost: $100 per working spot / $35 auditing
This workshop will build on the basic skills of toss and fetch (built in the beginner workshop) and focus in on the skills you need to succeed in Updog games: things such as working with multiple discs, defining when you want a drop in the field vs. a retrieve to hand, working on directing your dog around the field (and common patterns useful both in Updog games, but also in Freestyle), etc. Much like the beginner workshop, I will split the time between group skills and drills and working with individual teams on their specific challenges

BUY ONE GET ONE FREE: If you register for a working spot in either the morning or afternoon session, you can audit the second session for free (for working teams only).

About the Instructor: Helen Parkinson is an Updog Judge and dog trainer with over ten years in the field competing in disc and numerous other dog sports, in addition to performing with Team K9, Woofjocks and Superdogs.
