Life Skills I (Tues Jan 6 – 7:15pm)

The start date is Tuesday January 5th at 7:15pm. For dogs 16 weeks or older.

Life Skills I has been the foundational class in our training program for over 20 years. Designed by a certified pet dog trainer, this seven-week course focuses exclusively on training with positive reinforcement. This class teaches dogs of all ages the basics in manners and life skills while strengthening the dog handler bond.

Topics covered in Life Skills I (but not limited to!):

Foundation Skills: sit, down, come
Essential Manners: loose leash walking, leave it, appropriate greetings and not jumping up
Appropriate play, Socialization and Confidence building

This seven-week course includes one-hour classes held weekly. We’ll start with an Orientation on Tuesday, January 6th, at 7:15pm—please note, this session is for you only, so kindly leave your dog at home. Afterward, your dog will join you for the next six classes.

Please note that dogs must be up to date with vaccinations, including the Bordetella vaccine.

If you have adopted a dog from a reputable rescue within the last 14 days, please email the office (info@canadiancaninecollege.com) a copy of your adoption paperwork. We will arrange a 33% discount for the next available Life Skills I class.

All cancellations and refunds are subject to a $35 administration fee. Cancellations with less than two weeks’ notice prior to the start date will not be refunded, so please plan carefully. We appreciate your cooperation to help keep our classes small and effective for you.
