The staff of the Canadian Canine College is always available with courteous service by phone, fax or email to assist enlisted students with any questions regarding their dog’s behaviour.

 

 

Life Skills I:

Basic manners program including appropriate greeting behaviour, sit, down, stand, polite leash walking, recall, appropriate play, handling and leave it

Life Skills II (pre-requisite Life Skills I):

Continuation of focus and attention in progressively more distracting environments, long distance signal work, recalls, extensive stay work, beginning of off leash control.

Life Skills III (pre-requisite Life Skills II) :

Extremely busy class designed for excellent verbal control, long distance signal work, formal and informal recalls, around and get back finishes, handling by multiple people, off lead heeling, stand for examination, to your mat, directed jumping and retrieving.

Puppy Class:

Dogs between the the ages of 10 - 16 weeks. Course teaches puppy care, socialization and basic manners.

Recall (Come when called) Class:

A 6 week, outdoor program designed to enhance your dog’s recall (come when called). Emphasis will be on attention and recall during increasingly more difficult distractions.

Beginner Agility (pre-competitive):

This program is for those who may or may not want to compete in agility at a later date. More emphasis on attention and control than the Recreational agility program

Intermediate Agility (pre-requisite Recreational or Beginner agility):

This course is for dogs who have mastered basic obstacle performance and who are ready to begin sequencing obstacles.

Competitive Agility (pre-requisite Intermediate agility or pervious competition experience with your current dog at the discretion of the Head Instructor):

Enhanced obstacle performance, sequencing, contact work and handling.

Recreational Agility:

This agility program is for fun and exercise for both dogs and humans. For dogs and people that may not want to compete in dog sports but would like to learn agility and have fun with their dogs.

Clicker Training (pre-requisite Life Skills III):

This is an introductory clicker program designed to teach the basics of free shaping; not lure-click methods. This is a very detailed course for people with an interest not only in product but also in process.
